The direct-condensation panel was demonstrated to be effective in reducing carbon emissions of space heating for its high energy efficiency. To expand its application prospects, the thermal performances of the Direct-Condensation Panel (DCP) with various aspect ratios are investigated and compared in this paper. The results show that the vertical temperature gradients in the working area of 0.1 m to 1.5 m are 1.6°C and 3.3°C for the DCP with the ratio of 0.45 and 2.22, which is 20% and 41% of the heating system with the split air-conditioner. The vertical thermal comfort of the DCP with a low aspect ratio is superior, while the horizontal temperature distributions of the DCP with a high aspect ratio are more uniform. Meanwhile, the average PMV and PPD for the DCP with two ratios meet the requirements of the ASHRAE Standard. Compared with the DCP with a high aspect ratio, the thermal comfort of the DCP with a low aspect ratio is better for its LPD2 is less than 10%. |
