A Cable Partial Discharge Signal Extraction Method Based on Improved Wavelet-Laplace Function

Popis: In order to extract the partial discharge pluses accurately in power cables, an improved wavelet Laplace function method is proposed. The method is based on the characteristics of partial discharge pulse propagation in power cables. Firstly, the Laplace wavelet oscillation frequency and damping rate at different frequencies are determined by simulation of cable transmission characteristics. Then, the occurrence time and center frequency of partial discharge signal are extracted by Laplace wavelet matching pursuit algorithm. The extraction results of experiment data reveal that the effect of extracting PD pulses is satisfied with the proposed algorithm.
