Popis: This paper presents a co-simulation environment for testing different operation, control and aggregation strategies on a power network model with multiple voltage levels. In particular this environment, called “OpSim”, is used to investigate the question of how multiple grid operators - controlling different voltage levels and / or grid areas - could interact in a future grid scenario with a high amount of renewable energy resources. First the architecture of “OpSim” is presented, which uses a message bus to connect and synchronize multiple simulators, representing the grid, as well as grid operators strategies. Second, a proof-of-concept is demonstrated in which an interaction between multiple grid operators is investigated. The message rate between simulation components is evaluated and results indicate that a stable simulation operation is possible. Finally, the further development stages of “OpSim” are explained, as well as a first application with industrial partners.
