Popis: The paper presents quantitative and qualitative investigations aimed at revealing the mechanism of soil-geotextile interaction, and carried out in a prototype device called the great-dimensional shearing case. Model tests have been concerned with determining friction and anchorage of geotextiles from Torun and of Novita in the soil setting. Additionally the work presents genuine investigations on the bearing capacity of subsoil with two different lengths of a band of geotextile. From the examination of the outline of great displacement zones and of the obtained trajectories of marker displacements it is inferred that the length of anchorage sections is of great importance.
