Popis: | A flash-pumped colour centre laser has been operated with (F + 2 ) ∗ centres in NaF:Mg 2+ at room temperature and at 77 K with rather low thresholds (down to 0.3 J electrical input energy). It can be tuned from 1.05 to 1.27 μm and from 1.02 to 1.21 μm at 295 and 77 K, respectively. Active (F + 2 ) ∗ centres are severely bleached after 3.6x10 5 pulses at liquid nitrogen temperature. Quite unexpectedly, bleaching is not significantly quicker at room temperature. |
