Popis: Vibration and speed measurement of various machineries and structures on regular basis is important in order to maintain their smooth functionality. Also in some cases the in contact, manually monitored measurement is not possible. In this paper we present Optical triangulation based vibration and speed measurement technique. The sensor measures the reflection of the laser beam with respect to movement of the object. We mentioned some measurement techniques that are already available in the market and their limitations. Explanation of optical triangulation principle along with its utilization in the measurement of parameters is presented. The errors and obtained results are mentioned. Further we explained the limitations in this technique and mentioned some of the improvements to increase accuracy and speed of the system.
