Popis: | 1. Technological parameters have been established for the manufacture of porous one- and two-layer filters from electrolytic and reduced titanium powders and a study was made of the hydraulic and mechanical properties of such filters. 2. It was confirmed that two-layer filters combine satisfactory permeability and purification-fineness characteristics. 3. It was demonstrated that in the manufacture of filters of high porosity and permeability it is desirable that 30–40 wt.% ammonium bicarbonate should be added to the titanium powder; as a result of this measure, filters with a porosity of up to 70% can be produced. To obtain filters exhibiting even higher porosity and acceptable mechanical properties, powders finer than those investigated in this work should be employed. |
