Popis:	This article presents the technology for nitro-oxidation of tools manufactured from high-speed steels. There have been discussed the current ways of fabricating the nitro-oxide layers, which have been developed in the Institute of Precision Mechanics (Instytut Mechaniki Precyzyjnej, IMP). The examples of applications in the industry are shown. The morphology of the fabricated layers and operational properties of the nitro-oxidated tools are demonstrated.
