Popis:	Drugs which induce organ toxicity in pregnant animals can also produce similar organ damage in their offspring. As an example the hepatotoxic effect of antiviral drug bonaphthon in the maternal-embryonic complex was studied. The drug (1/10 LD50) was intubed to gravid rats on the 10–13 gestational days. Biochemical and histochemical methods to determine the liver state of the gravid females and their foetuses were applied. Foetus liver immaturity followed by some circulatory disturbances in other embryonic organs were revealed with the dystrophic changes in the female liver.
