Popis: The Ebola virus disease (EVD) is a highly contagious and fatal viral hemorrhagic fever of humans. The 2014 Ebola crisis serves as the blueprint of the current international collaboration system in response to an international disaster. By reviewing the case of the Ebola crisis in refugee camps, this case study aims (1) to analyze the gap between medical standard procedures and the refugees’ response practices and (2) to discuss how to implement international response protocols effectively given the context. In particular, the goal of the scenario is to help international foreign-aid organizations work with local organizations and people to develop new strategies adapting to a local cultural context, and assist people at risk to understand the standard procedures and adapt their behaviors to protect themselves from EVD.
