Popis: | A new interleaved buck converter is proposed in this paper to improve the performance of the battery charger of a stand-alone wind turbine. The converter uses just a single active auxiliary circuit to assist all the main converter switches operate with ZCS and operates with ZCS itself. This circuit does not increase the peak voltage or current stresses of the main switches and does not have any components in the main power path of current, which results in improved light-power efficiency. In this paper, the operation of the converter is briefly explained, its features are discussed, results obtained from an experimental prototype are presented to confirm the feasibility of the proposed converter. |
