Popis: Summary Disinfectant Rebound Release (DRR) from adequately rinsed, reused dialysers is usually considered to originate from the potting resin and thus unavoidable. We measured DRR of 3 disinfecting agents from 8 dialysers groups, with (capillaries) and without (plates) potting resin. Our results demonstrate that in current dialysers the main determinants of DRR are the type of disinfecting agent and dialysis membrane. DRR is similar for plate and capillary dialysers, proving thus that the presence of potting resin is currently not responsible for DRR from chemically disinfected reused dialysers.
