Popis: Recent analyses of the grammar and rhetoric of scientific English have yielded valuable information to the EFL teacher. Yet so far the results of this research have been applied primarily in the area of reading. A parallel though often neglected need is the teaching of technical writing, since many EFL students have developed proficiency in reading technical English, particularly in their fields of specialization, but lack equally well developed writing skills. Such students are not fully prepared for university programs at English speaking institutions.
