Temperature Dependence of the Disclocation Behaviour of Lithium and Sodium

Popis: The dislocation behavior of the bcc metals, lithium and sodium has been characterized in the temperature regions of 90 to 300°K and 90 to 110°K, respectively by means of transmission electron microscopy. An evaluation of the character, length and motion of dislocations as a function of temperature has been performed. The results are compared to mechanical deformation experiments.
