Popis: | A series of polymeric manganese(II),cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) complexes have been prepared having general formula [MII(µ1,5-dca)2(Quin)2]n (where Quin and dca represents quinoxaline and dicyanamide respectively and M = Mn, Co, Ni, Cu for complex 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively) and characterized by routine physicochemical techniques such as elemental analyses, FT-IR, UV–Vis and solid state structure of 1, 3 and 4 were determined by X-ray single crystal analysis. Crystal structure of complex 2 was reported earlier [1]. Crystal structure determination reveals that all the metal ions are present in a distorted octahedral geometry and 1D polymeric network was propagated via the participation of dicyanamide in µ1,5 bridging mode. Catecholase like activity of complexes 1–4 were studied in methanol medium at 25 °C using 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol (3,5-DTBC) as model substrate. The role of metal ion towards catecholase like activity was explored. |
