Popis: The influence of spanwise periodic steady blowing or suction on the development of stationary crossflow vortices is investigated experimentally in a three-dimensional boundary-layer flow. Different jet-outlet geometries were tested to control the naturally most amplified crossflow mode in this scenario. Although bypass transition at the actuator orifices is an issue in the blowing cases, the strongest receptivity was observed for steady blowing against the direction of the crossflow veloctiy component.
