Popis: Without the presence of the father, who is brave, demanding, brilliant, grave, skilled at remembering, praising, grieving, tender, exacting, heroic, and more, there would probably be no Li-Young Lee poems. We can add to the compendium of these attributes of the father a list Gerald Stern composed from his reading of Lee's first volume, Rose, in which the father is "powerful, stubborn, remote, passionate and loving."
