Popis: This paper presents an adept bow-tie-shaped UWB antenna with meander lines. The designed antenna has a dimension of 28.8 mm × 12.3 mm × 1.6 mm. This antenna has been designed on FR-4 substrate having dielectric constant 4.4 and height of the substrate as 1.6 mm, respectively, particularly for the seawater having the conductivity of 5.3 S/m. The simulated result reflects that the designed antenna acquires the bandwidth (reflection coefficient ≤−10 dB) of 2.9 GHz ranging from 0.1 to 3 GHz. The reflection coefficient for the three realistic water medium and three different values of flare angle (design parameter) has been obtained and discussed here. Along with this, the current distribution and corresponding field patterns have been shown. The presented antenna has been designed in the CADFEKO 14.0 software.
