Popis: | 1. 1.|A study has been done to reinvestigate the evidence for the involvement of a cholinergic synapse in the central control of body temperature in the sheep. 2. 2.|Intracerebroventricular (ICV) injections of atropine sulphate attenuated the thermoregulatory reactions to a low ambient temperature as well as those caused by ICV administration of carbachol and prostaglandin E1, and by TAB vaccine given intravenously. 3. 3.|We conclude that a cholinergic synapse (or synapses) exists on the hypothalamic pathway from cold-sensors to thermoregulatory effectors. |
