| Popis: | Malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumour in the oral cavity is extremely rare. We report a case of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumour on the maxillary gingiva without evidence of neurofibromatosis. A 54-year-old woman presented with a soft, non-tender mass without ulceration on her maxillary gingiva. The patient did not have signs of neurofibromatosis type 1. A partial maxillectomy with a wide resection margin was performed. Four months after presentation, local recurrence as well as lung and liver metastases were found. |
