Popis: The true and apparent densities, pore radii, differential distribution curves of the pore volume over the radii, the total volume of the pores and the specific surface of copolymers of methyl acrylate with divinyl glycol ethers and nitrogen-phsphorus containing ion-exchangers based on them and synthesized in an aqueous medium have been determined. It is shown that with increase in the length of the molecule of the crosslinking agent the global pore volume of the copolymers and ion-exchangers in the non-hydrated state diminishes. Chemical modification of the copolymers reduced the overall voleme of the pores of the sorbents which is explained by change in their thermodynamic affinity for water and, as a consequence, by change in the elasticity of the gels formed.
