Popis: Mass balancing in crankshaft manufacturing processes significantly improves the workpiece quality and reduces bearing loads on machine tools. We present the background of mass balancing for a special crankshaft modeled as a rigid body rotating at a constant angular speed and its practical implementation and design steps of the necessary unique devices. The utility of the counterweight can be verified by finite elements analyzes which is indicated that the bearing loads can be also reduced.
