Popis: Hemangioma occurs in every systemic region, and in the head and neck region, it is often found in the tongue, the lip, and the buccal mucosa. However, intramuscular hemangioma in the head and neck region is relatively rare.We treated two cases of hemangioma in the masseter muscle. Both the tumors contained various sizes of phlebolith. Combination of CT and MRI analysis was useful for identifying the tumor localization. Both tumors were excised by external incision, which enabled a secure enough field of operation and a certain extraction. Histologically, they were diagnosed as hemangioma. Here, we report the diagnosis and surgical treatment of hemangioma in the masseter muscle with reference to the literature.
