Thermodynamic properties of N-(β-trimethylsilylethyl)trimethylenimine from 7 to 305 K

Popis: The heat capacity Cpo of N-(β-trimethylsilylethyl)trimethylenimine in glassy, crystalline, and liquid states, as well as temperatures and enthalpies of its physical transitions, have been measured between 7 and 305 K in a vacuum adiabatic calorimetric cryostat within 0.2 per cent. The functions {Ho(T) − Ho(0)}, So(T), {Go(T) − Ho(0)} have been calculated from T = 0 to 300 K. The thermodynamic quantities for the glassy state are estimated to be So(gl, T = 0) = (18.7 ± 1.1) J K−1 mol−1, {Ho(gl, T = 0) − Ho(c, T = 0)} = (6.62 ± 0.21) kJ mol−1, Sconfo = 19.5 J K−1 mol−1, and an entropy diagram of N-β-trimethylsilylethyl)trimethylenimine is given.
