Popis: | 1. The toughness of the alloy VT6 alloyed with 6% Zr decreases substantially with aging at 400–600°C. 2. The main reason for the lower toughness after aging is decomposition of the small amount of β phase that inevitably exists in semifinished products of α titanium alloys. The presence of β phase is due to the characteristics of the polymorphous β→α transformation with relatively slow cooling of the metal in the α+β region. |
