Today, the role of technology in the daily life of man is undeniable. Many human activities and needs are addressed smartly, online, and technology-dependent. Services such as online banking services, online educational services, online health care services, and thousands of other services. On the other hand, all these services have been created for more human welfare and as well as the human society desire is to use them. One of the emerging technologies that have become so popular today is the IoT which has been developed in all field and caused to do many human activities easier. The quick growth pace of IoT is not conceivable and every day the number of IoT equipments are increasing. These large volumes of equipments have many dangerous vulnerabilities that have caused numerous concerns among security professionals. One of these concerns is the use of IoT equipment to cause DDoS attacks. In this paper, based on estimations about the number of IoT equipments in 2020, the magnitude of DDoS attacks based on IoT equipments and some of its consequences are investigated. |
