The aim of the study is to analyze existing Energy Storage Systems (ESS) based on powerful electric batteries. It is done from the point of view of algorithms for intelligent control of charging/discharging processes on optimal scheduling for a long time period of operation. Possible ways in reduction of the cost of electricity consumed by the enterprise depending on changes in tariffs and the load over time are discussed here. It is based on usage of the ESS and the optimal battery charge/discharge schedule (control algorithm). Formalization of the problem of optimal control modes and the formulation of its conditional constraints help to assess the potential economic efficiency of ESS. Based on the numerical simulation of battery charge/discharge control by linear programming, the actual efficiency of using ESS was estimated in the range of less than 10–15% for different planning periods from 1 to 4 weeks. |
