Popis: | This paper proposes the implementation of an LTE base station congestion mitigation algorithm that is developed based on the principles of non-cooperative game theory. This algorithm provides a unique game model for radio resource allocation as well as congestion mitigation in an LTE network. The game theoretic controller’s congestion management capability is compared with other LTE based congestion mitigation models such as Discard Timer and Random Early Detection in an end to end wireless network. The transport layer protocol for user packets considered is Transmission Control Protocol. This study focuses on users with low mobility or connected in a fixed wireless network. The results from this study suggest that congestion management using non-cooperative game theory can be successfully implemented and it provides a more robust alternative to traditional congestion mitigation models such as Discard Timer or Random Early Detection for LTE networks. |
