Popis:	CRTs have been heated 2–3 times faster by infrared radiation than by convection. The infrared radiation is absorbed within the glass and by the inside coating in addition to the traditional outside heating. In this way both glass surfaces are compressed safely, if the radiation is distributed optimally over the glass thickness and the tube.
