Popis: | 29th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition; 3374-3377 The correct and reliable measurement of solar cell parameters is of great interest for all cell producers and institutes active in the photovoltaic market. In this paper the results of a round robin exercise on IV measurements of totally 48 standard (mono and multi-crystalline Si) and selective emitter (mono and multi-crystalline Si) solar cells across five partners of the FutureFab project are presented. The measurement results are analyzed using a statistics program (SAS JMP Pro 9). The comprehensive study firstly revealed systematic measurement errors: In some cases obvious mis-measurements due to poor temperature control and imperfect temperature correction factors occurred. After exclusion of these erroneous results, typical values for standard deviation of the participant´s measurements and for differences between the participant´s mean results for IV measurements on the same cell were calculated. Gauge R&R analyses showed that the portion of variability due to multiple measurements (repeatability) and due to different IV set-ups (reproducibility) is too high to allow for detection of cell-to-cell differences as given in the Round Robin. The comparability of the IV measurement results between different IV set-ups is low (even if all set-ups are calibrated using the same reference cell). IV measurements should only be compared when carried out on the same IV set-up. |
