Popis: Mobile health innovations have been around for a while, mainly in the form of software applications, a subset of which are intended to enable smokers to quit. The anticipated impact of these developments in the fight against smoking enslavement and on improving stopping rates must be systematically assessed. The objective of our study, as this paper is to present, was to report the rationale, ideation, design, user research, and final specifications of an app which we built to help people to quit smoking and remain clean and sober. The intention of the study was two-fold: a) to test how different types of target users (tech-savvy as well as novice) will interact with our product by finishing certain tasks corresponding to the features in our app. b) to understand the user needs better by finding the difficulties they face as they try to complete a specific task.
