In this work, a way to modify aerial piezoelectric sensors to assembly inside an underwater robot is described and validated. Using the theory of sound propagation and its properties in distinct material, an experimental assembling is proposed using Plexiglas and SAE oil to isolate the sensor. Initial tests to validate the device are presented and compared with theoretical results. The results give a promising perspective in the use of these devices for measuring distance in underwater robots in closed environments . |
