Popis: | This paper analyses a wireless power transfer (WPT) system using the current-fed power electronics topology through a full-bridge resonant DC-DC converter using non-dissipative switching through the zero voltage switching method (ZVS) to achieve greater efficiency and reduce stress in semiconductor power. The main contribution is the analysis and design of this type of converter for WPT application. A detailed mathematical analysis and design were reported. Rigid DC current at the drive input limits the current drive voltage of the drive. In addition, the DC link inductor provides natural short-circuit protection during inverter failure. The resonant converter facilitates smooth switching over of the transmitter's side switches. The smooth switching of diode rectifiers reduces loss of reverse recovery. The mathematical analysis is verified by the simulation results using the PSIM 9.3. The maximum efficiency of the DC-DC WPT phase obtained is close to 83% with a coupling coefficient of 15%. |
