Preparation of Ag particle-doped cellulose acetate gel membrane as a surface-enhanced Raman scattering active substrate

Popis: A cellulose gel membrane doped with Ag particles in the nm range was prepared by a new method, i.e. the counter diffusion method. The doped membrane demonstrated that surface-enhanced Raman scattering on it can be successfully used for detection of trace amounts of uridine and alkaloids such as quinacrine hydrochloride, nicotine and ellipticine in the concentration range of 1 × 10−5–1 × 10−7 M. The advantages of this approach are the simplicity of sample preparation, low cost and practical handling.
