| Popis: | A synthesis is described of the partially protected carboxyl-terminal tetrapeptide sequence, L-leucyl-L-methionyl-L-asparaginyl-O-t-butyl-L-threonine t-butyl ester, which is derived from the pancreatic hormone glucagon. In this synthesis we used successfully a novel combination of blocking groups, the t-butoxy group and t-butyl ester, together with N-phthaloyl protection. |
