Popis: | The paper is concerned with the behaviour of polyethylene terephthalate in the process of vibratory milling. This polymer belongs to the class of heterochain macromolecular compounds; depending on the mechanical and other working conditions (medium, temperature, etc.), it may exhibit various chemical reactions. In inert media (gaseous or liquid) and in the absence of humidity, mechanochemical destruction is radically initiated. The presence of small quantities of water favours hydrolysis, activated mechano-chemically. The functional end groups (carboxylic and hydroxylic) in the polyester chain permit the initiation, for the first time in the field of mechano-chemistry of macromolecular compounds, of the processes of polycondensation by using diamines in the reaction. |
