ACI organizations are often called upon to provide data on the use of ACI resources, and on the effectiveness and impact of ACI Facilitation in order to evaluate the services and to demonstrate the value provided to the research community and institution. In this paper, we present an overview of the metrics and processes used to evaluate Facilitation efforts at two universities, focusing primarily on four different types of metrics: (1) user base, (2) resource usage, (3) training, and (4) return on investment. Included is a discussion of data collection and processing, challenges, and general lessons learned. |
