The assessment of the probability of assimilating the material of an academic discipline by a student was carried out using an integral distribution function (probability) obtained by integrating a differential distribution function (probability density), which, in turn, was obtained by averaging individual distribution functions identifying students in the process of assimilating information. The differential distribution function defines the probability of finding a student in a single area of the information space, which is equivalent to the probability of the student's assimilation of information in this area of the information space. It has a U-shaped appearance due to the presence of the measurement scale boundaries. The integral distribution function calculated in a dimensionless coordinate system is in fact universal. It allows directly, knowing student’s knowledge assessment score obtained on any point scale, to determine for the probability of assimilating the material of the academic discipline by him. |
