Popis:	Three Russian researchers report the results of 15 years of monitoring ground temperatures in central Sakha, with the objective of detecting patterns of change in permafrost conditions associated with global warming. Considerable attention is devoted to recording year‐to‐year variability in ground temperature and depths of seasonal thawing and correlating these with terrain and substrate type, type of vegetation cover, and interannual changes in meteorological conditions.
