Popis: | 1. The precipitation of the stable excess phase from the supersaturated solid solution increases the quenching temperature, resulting in small grains in the fracture. 2. If the dissociation temperature of the excess phase is high, the new small grains occurring as the result of phase transformation have time to grow to considerable size. In this case the grains do not decrease in size on repeated heating. 3. The temperature at which the excess carbides dissolve and the grain size decreases in 4Kh13 steel increases with an increasing heating rate. 4. D. K. Chernov'sb point corresponds to the temperature at which a considerable amount of the excess phase dissolves and the size of grains in the fracture decreases. 5. We have shown that one can reduce the size of large grains by the following heat treatment: quenching from 1075°C, tempering at 700°C for 4 h, and repeated quenching and tempering under the conditions ordinarily used for this steel. |
