The computation of magnetic fields of permanent magnet cylinders used in the electrophotographic process

Popis: General analytic expressions for the magnetic field distributions created by permanent magnet cylinders are derived in this paper. These expressions take into account a finite slope of the B‐H loop in the second quadrant, and they are valid for arbitrary magnetization patterns within the cylinders. They can be used for parametric studies of field strength and can also be used to test new and existing numerical techniques for computing the field due to permanent magnet materials. The theoretical discussion is illustrated by some sample calculations.
