Commercial arsenic sulfide glasses have been prepared with different levels of purification. Linear and nonlinear absorption of both bulk and thin film materials have been measured. Analysis of the components of absorption edge and dependence on purification is discussed. Nonlinear photoinduced absorption measurements were made using femtosecond pulses in the spectral region of 1.5 μm from an optical parametric amplifier. The behavior of glasses prepared by melting or thermal evaporation techniques are compared. |
