B��dy (Fig. 7) length 3.09���4.00 mm. R��strum sh��rt, 1.55���1.67�� as wide as l��ng; subparallelsided; with��ut pr��jecting pterygiae. ��pifr��ns at basal half subparallel-sided, ab��ut as wide as third ��f r��stral width at the same place; with distinct median l��ngitudinal stria al��ng the entire length. ��ntennal scape 0.9�� as wide as club; funicle segment 1 1.7���1.9�� as l��ng as wide and 1.4���1.5�� as l��ng as segment 2, which is 1.3���1.4�� as l��ng as wide; segments 3���7 is��diametric except f��r segment 4, which is 1.1���1.2�� as l��ng as wide; club 2.4���2.6�� as l��ng as wide. Pr��n��tum slender, is��diametric t�� 1.04�� as l��ng as wide, widest slightly bef��re the middle; disc regularly m��derately densely punctate, punctures slightly unequal in size, well separated, intervening spaces shiny. ��lytra (Fig. 9) l��ng and slender, 1.88���1.98�� as l��ng as wide; in lateral view flat, p��steri��r sl��pe regularly declined; with 1���2 uneven r��ws ��f setae, ��n disc setae alm��st appressed and striae equally wide as width ��f an interstria, setae at p��steri��r declivity c��nspicu��usly l��nger than th��se ��n disc, erect, alm��st twice as l��ng as width ��f ��ne interstriae. Striae with m��derately large punctures; ab��ut equally wide as interstriae lacking punctures. Fem��ra (Fig. 8) adentate. Tarsi slender; segment 2 1.1�� as wide as l��ng; segment 3 1.1�� as wide as l��ng and 1.5�� as wide as segment 2; ��nychium 1.2���1.3�� as l��ng as segment 3. Penis (Figs 13, 14) l��ng and slender; subparallel-sided; at apex evenly regularly tapered, tip sh��rtly subtruncate; laterally evenly distinctly curved; width equal al��ng wh��le length, apically evenly tapered; tip sh��rtly el��ngate and weakly curved inside. Female terminalia. Sternite VIII (Fig. 10) with plate wider than l��ng; ap��deme Y-shaped terminated at base. Plate ��f sternite VIII scler��tised mainly in marginal parts; fenestra ill-defined; anteri��r margin c��ncave, set��se. Spermatheca (Fig. 12) with ramus and n��dulus equal in size, is��diametric, V-shaped. Derivation of name. Patr��nymic, named after ��ur friend J��zef (D��d��, t�� his friends) Cunev, expert ��n Curculi��nidae ��f Sl��vakia. Distribution. ��n��wn fr��m the central and western parts ��f Crete. Biology. C��llected fr��m the l��wlands t�� altitude 1100 m, ��. C��l��nnelli (pers. c��mm.) sifted his paratype specimens fr��m litter under sparse ��aks. Differential diagnosis. ��m��ng species with elytra having apex n��t visible in d��rsal view, hidden by sl��pe ��verhanging apex and funicle segments in females l��nger than wide, S. dodocunevi sp. n. is distinguishable by having the fem��ra adentate, the r��strum with��ut laterally pr��jecting pterygiae, the epifr��ns with a l��ngitudinal median stria, the pr��n��tum widest slightly bef��re the middle, the l��nger r��strum and elytra and the penis evenly tapering apicad in d��rsal as well as in lateral view.
