Popis: The effects of ultrasonic treatment on [O] (the concentration of dissolved O) and [N] (the concentration of dissolved N) in low-carbon liquid steel have been studied. The results show that with ultrasonic treatment, [O] decreases, while [N] increases. Higher treatment temperature, higher ultrasonic power, and longer treatment time enhance these effects. The enrichment of FeO and O on the liquid steel surface produces an inverse relationship between [O] and [N]. The removal of [O] is caused by a negative pressure generated by ultrasound. Acoustic streaming generated by ultrasound contributes to more effective oxygen desorption.
