Popis: | This paper focuses on the preparation and modification of zeolite Y by different methods. The obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray fluorescence, nitrogen adsorption–desorption and zeta potential measurements. The obtained catalysts were tested in the Michael addition reaction. Several parameters affecting the Michael reaction such as the catalyst nature, catalyst mass, solvent and to generalize the reaction several acceptors were tested. The results showed that zeolite Y has a larger specific surface area, but their modified counterparts showed weak surfaces due to the partial destruction of zeolite framework after the different treatments. The catalytic application of zeolite Y and its modified counterparts have shown interesting results via the addition of Michael with yields between 70 and 100%. Reuse of zeolite Y in several cycles showed that this catalyst was stable during six consecutive reuse tests. |
