| Popis: | Drs. Wittig and Leifer comment in their letter on the insignificance of the Pao2 drop after use of adrenergic aerosols (Pediatrics 57:579, April 1976). They state "... that properly administered, these agents are a great aid to many asthmatics and should not be denied to them." Since patients do not usually consider or fear sprays as medicine and frequently exceed recommended doses in spite of physicians' and package warnings, the studies and statements claiming "safety" when "properly administered in recommended doses" are too often meaningless in clinical reality. |
