| Popis: | The heart-wood of T. paniculata Roth furnished a mixture of 3,3′-O-dimethylellagic acid (V) and 3,4,3′-O-trimethylflavellagic acid (X). The structure of X was based on the absence of Griessmayer's colour reaction, UV absorption data and its non-identity with synthetic 3,3′,4′-O-trimethylflavellagic acid (IX). 3,4,3′-O-Trimethylflavellagic acid (X) is the first representative of flavellagic acid group isolated from nature. |
