Popis: Citrus from Florida are quarantined by various states and foreign countries against the Caribbean fruit fly Anastrepha suspensa (Caribfly). Loss of ethylene dibromide (EDB) required alternate treatments such as methyl bromide (CH3Br) fumigation, cold storage, and negative trapping. As an alternative to fumigations and to supplement a bait spray/“fly-free” management program, inundative releases of sterile Caribfly were initiated.
