Popis: | This study presents the formation mechanism of a layered structure consisting of coherent cellular and columnar solidification microstructure accompanied with the macrosegregation in aluminum dissimilar-filler welding. The filler-depleted zone resulted from the incomplete mixing of the solute; moreover, it solidifies before the surrounding mixed zone, wherein the subsequent dendritic growth is hindered by the pre-solidified microstructure. This solidification sequence leads to a layered solidification microstructure and segregation patterns. |
