The second part outlines the European Union’s preferential market arrangements for bananas exported from the Caribbean. The final part makes the point that developed countries have traditionally provided preferential trade arrangements to the small developing economies in recognition that their very small size prevents them from realizing economies of scale which would make their exports internationally competitive. |
